Entrepreneur
Here is a little bit about me as an entrepreneur:
After closing my little vintage store “Space 13″ (2007- 2009), along with letting my time run out, at what would be my last corporate alley job, I decided to open a Production company with my partner Joe Pascual, Dotfilmz, LLC 2008. We began our journeys, from Joe’s post-production house to a production company successfully producing 4 projects in our first year of operation. Because the universe always reminds us to “give back” my company was given the opportunity to co-produce a the little short that could, “Good Deed and the Damage Done”, the little dot diddy that achieved an award with the Sundance Film Festival’s, Project Direct competition in January of 2009.
In early Febuary 2009 we went on to produce a transmedia webseries based on “Good Deeds and The Damage Done”, that ended up taking us down and up a rabbit hole into the New Media space. My partner and myself quickly realized that the new media space is still in its infant stages and its important to produce content that support the evolution of the growing new media landscape. I truly believe that as independent content creators there needs to be a place that empowers us to be entrepreneurs, from conception to distribution! From April of 2009 to the present, one of our newest projects has gained a lot of momentum and we are building our contribution to what we believe is part of that evolution, WOO! HOO!
Oh the life of an entrepreneur!!!
In August of 2009 Dotfilmz was introduced to Chico’s Angels-The Web Series. This property was born out of a 7 yr running stage show that continues to be an underground hit in LA. We saw the potenial in the The Web Series and signed on to become the web producers of the project. It has been a huge educational growth spurt, rich with practical experience, they say “It takes a Village” and yes it does, truly take a Strong and United Village to speak to the world-wide communities of the web! www.chicosangels.com
The an opportunity to be creative then presented itself to me, breathing new life into a project that I had created in 2006 and co-wrote with some amazing friends “Valet Confidential”. The project focused on a chapter of my life as a female valet, surrounded by many Phenomenal Women from all walks of life, each striving for their dreams.
In development.
