Women Educating Women! Having grown up in a single parent family that was made up of all woman, really opened my eyes to life’s creation! Crafty I call it, some call it being able to achieve anything you put your heart and your mind too, as women are the carriers of life’s creation, a concious co-creation… set your heart and mind to it and you will give birth to it!

I’m finally getting to share this video…(epic)… it struck a cord in me and THEN it would not publish to my site with the photo attached, and that went on for 3 wks.  SO it sat in my drafts till right now and surprise! I can finally publish it LOL… it was just stuck, no matter what I did. Funny how that goes,  stopped in my track from doing what I’d intended. Life force always at work…I have always heard the pharse “want to make GOD laugh tell him your plans!!!”.  This video from TED talks, touches on how we as Women systematically under estimate ourselves, boooo…time to step up, not wake up…we are already awake, its 2011.

I start with ME and YOU!!!

I had got it on the inner that a particular dream I that had had was going to require me to work with a guide to help me navigate through this next leg of the journey. The Guide that was given to me was named Towart Managi, he is an ancient Master (in Eckankar) who had been a guardian on earth in the time of Abyssina. This seemed interesting to me as he had visited me, on the outer 12 yrs earlier. I was traveling on the bus in Toronto and he came and sat next to me, out of the blue he started to talk me. He proceeded to tell me about a dear friend of his that I reminded him of and then he went on to tell me that “When the Creator is trying to create something, he gives it a Rocky Road”. Auto-matically it struck a huge cord in me that made me cry that day on the bus. I had been searching for an answer to why I had gone through my car accident that had changed my entire being a year earlier in 1996. After the experience with him everything changed in my life,  I was given the insight that I needed to make it through the major growth spurt which was occurring at that point in my life. Ever notice the points in life when you realize a cycles is ending?

His presence in my life 12yrs  later (now) reminded me that I was embarking on a major grow spurt again, Exciting!!!!

It began with a dream were the family of a business associate that my company and myself are getting into a partnership (on the outer) with visited my home with all of their family and employees. The dream started out with a “group of children” climbing over my back fence with “blue lawn chairs” in hand, at night and then their parents all came climbing over the fence too. It seemed to be  celebration of some sort, I found myself sitting with all of the wives of the gentlemen we are in negotiations with and I was getting to know everyone. “Taking note” on each person making sure to take down “birthdays and favorite colors”. I then found myself “flying through the air” and I had a “purple silk band” that fit around my whole body like a huge elastic band. I was “flying over the earth” and I recall stopping in “Egypt” were I stopped to “kiss the statue of the Sphinx” and then propelled my self off of his face and flew away. Now it seemed very symbolic that I would be in Egypt as I have a very strong pull towards a life time in that land (Past Life Stuff). I then flew back to my back yard and the dream ended.

(The Egyptian and arabic sphinxes which were usually represented as guardians that embodied wisdom, strength, nobility and a relatively benign attitude toward human beings, at least those who did not violate what they were set to guard).

I woke up and wrote what I could remember down. What happened next was interesting as I haven’t been able to full remember my dream since. I first brought it up among peers and one of them started to cry when I brought up Egypt as she too has a strong pull to a life time there and she doesn’t remember much but has experienced this type of reaction towards that life before. It tipped me off that this was only the beginning, its interesting how connected we are to one another and how we have so much to learn from each other. I found myself recalling all of the waking things that have happened lately that relate to Egypt. I then received an email about lost civilization of Atlantis and it talked about the resemblances between Egypt and Atlantis. Then I traveled to San Fransisco were I first missed my flight at the Burbank airport, at the time that it happened I knew that it was with good reason that I needed to be on the next flight and don’t you know the CEO of the company that is negotiating with us to form a partnership came running up to the gate as we were boarding the next flight and when he saw my partner and myself he was shocked, as were we! He told us that he just finished a call regarding our company and his, we ended up sitting together on the flight in to San Francisco were we all spent the time really getting to know each other better.

The interesting thing that really came up for me is that my inner and outer life were walking the same line and all I need to do was stay open to the situation with LOVE. A strange thing to say but very true as if we place fear in front of a situation it stifles it and if you place love it waters it to grow.

The outcome of this experience we are now Partners with the company what a relief!!!! I was able to be open to the vibration of love and see the seed grow were in my past experience over the last year and a half of business I have been operating from fear and everyone of the deals that came into place during that time were heavy and almost always ended because fear got in everyone’s way.

I do have a technique for interpreting my dream symbols:

Make two columns…the first side I write whatever symbols I can remember from my dreams. On the other side I write the first thing that comes to mind without much thought that relates to the symbol eg…

Column 1: Blue Lawn chairs

Column 2: Anything Blue represents the love of divine guidance, blue is a spiritual color to me that means that love is on my side.

Then after I am done the two columns I write my dream down as a story and instead of putting the blue lawn chair, I put my interpretation and its interesting t see what comes through!!! I do this with all of the symbols and then I read line for line what I am really saying to myself while I sleep.

I think exploring our lives in all ways is super important.

While away is San Fransisco last week I had a chance to unplug from LA and take a look around…stop smell the roses you might say. It’s funny how much time is spent sitting in cars on freeways and in traffic. We just don’t have time to observe the goings on on the street. It was a real treat to WALK…okay!!! I felt like a kid in a candy store…the site and architecture ways so amazing I went to town snapping shots. This picture was one of those random things that happen when you try something new. The door to this hallway was lock so I had no choice but to take the picture through a hole in the fence…and let me tell you this was the best hole I could have peeked through.

Life is about Art and this one is definitely Abstract and Pertty!

Things had been really fast in the last few month with no sign of letting up, when the universe offered me a choice, do I take a job right now or follow my gut and keep the course with my start-up. For real this has been a real lesson in self-realization, also known as empowerment…

Àbout a month ago while on the phone talking to a dear friend, expressing my frustration surrounding raising capital for my company,  she posed a question to me,  ” If the money isn’t coming right now, what can you do to create new energy around the situation and are you closing off the flow of money in any area of your life, right now?”

Àll I could feel in my heart at that very moment was something wasn’t sitting right, as she posed that question. In hopes of getting clear with the feeling, I decided to take the question into contemplation. What came to me quiet clearly was that my perspective needed to change. So with much kicking and screaming I decided to look for a work, outside of my energies spent raising capital. My feeling was, I needed to face my movie, which totally sucked at that time, as I had directed it to be this way.  It was such a chore at first looking for work, my view was that  sending my resume out was not productive for my business. Funny the more I did it, the more I could feel the energy shifting, even my confidence seemed to be shifting to, something I had no idea was even being affected. My! My! how interesting things get when you surrender to that which we fight!

The first place I sent my resume to gave me an interview and then an old boss gave me another interview, all the while still hustling to raise capital. In the midst of all of that my partner and myself decided to head out to Las Vegas for the NAB convention, were we were able to make some solid connections for work and business development, funny how a kick in the pants can change our perspective and experience. As a result of this change of perspective I have been offered a job and investment is coming in, Law of Attraction babe!  Am I taking the job…well yes and no. I ‘ve decided to take a part-tome job doing just this, I am going to help a company create a blog and market it for them.  I came to understanding in order for anything to flow in my life I needed to be an open vessel and because I was so against the IDEA of working for someone else, I looked at any money from that kind of sacrifice, really just work, a job, as no good.

The universe always provides the answers, we just have to ask! We need not worry in life as it only breeds fear. “The Law of Attraction” says that which is like unto itself is drawn.

Thank you my dear friend for being a vehicle for light to shine through.

So I have been evaluating were I am at in my life. I’m going to be 35 OMG and I really more than anything want to work for myself. I have worked for everyone else at this point and feel that my skills should be put to use by Me for Me! Life is what you make it and I have been making it about everything else but me in some way or another. I have learned soooo much in the last year and a half of my life being out of work, by choice. It is the most challenging thing in the world starting your own business. I am continually amazed by how easy it is to doubt our selves when things don’t go the way we want them to. My lesson here is to never stop striving as that has always brought me success. This life is about shooting for our stars and so far its been good, really good. These things take some time and its important to always check in.

Here is to the Road less Travel!

So it’s been an interesting past six months. I think that everyone close to me is either having to move, relocate, put stuff in storage or down size in general. What is going on? Oh wait time is speeding up right!!!

back to what I was getting into….

When we last moved we had had two storage units with a company that took great care of us as customers. This is a big issue for me right now, as companies are having to step up in the customer loyalty/care department. If you read my last post you will know what I am talking about.

I think every person I know who uses self storage says the same thing: “I can hardly get in my unit as everything is everywere!” sound familiar?”

The idea of storing stuff is always such a big deal as it means putting things in groups and creating a system to manage what you need to access at the drop of a dime. I have found that big plastic bins with covers make it easy breezy to do just this. The other thing I found was numbering the boxes with a sharpie on the side. It makes it easier to find what you’re looking for and if you make log book of what is in each box, your system is complete. You can hang book in storage unit so it is easy for you or anyone that you may send to storage easy access to find things easily. A bit of work upfront but less work on the other side. There are some great self storage units companies to check out as they provide secure temperature controlled units that will endure the elements just about anywhere like even Texas storage. Random I know, been looking at there as some where I could possibly move to, Austin namely:).

My observation of the way things are going in society today is that we need to get organized in everyway. Things that are under the carpet are all coming out and hitting us head on to deal with. One only has to look at the major world events to get an perspective of were we are personally, as everything in life mirrors one another perfectly, whether we are aware of it or not, IN MY OPINION!

There is my two cents on making life easier in transition.

No more Trickery

So my iPhone notifies me that I have an email today and when I look at it it’s an ad for radio shack, normally I wouldn’t be bothered by that, but it did today.
I went into Radio Shack two days ago to see if the deal they were offering on Twitter an Facebook was true. They were offering rebates on 3rd generation iPhones if you traded in through them. But on the day the promotion came out within five minutes they were sold (how convient) out. Furthur more they failed to tell anyone who gave them their information after that intial five minute sale (what a joke) which mind you was no were in there paperwork stated, that your email info was going to be logged and you would be recieving offers, junk mail in your email in box.
It’s important to be honest with your customer to keep them. Had they have givens me the freedom of choice to share my info for their Database I wouldn’t feel like they were tricking me and many others to grow there market share.
Especially in today’s society were there is a high level of un-trust, corparations need to be honest with their customers.
I like supporting products and companies that treat me with care and respect…

I have found that University of Redlands has a great continued education course on Gender Equality. As the roles of women and men continue to change in our pluralistic society, the ability to understand and reflect on these changes is increasingly important. The knowledge and experience offered by women’s and gender studies courses have become very valuable tools in a wide variety of fields ranging any where from law, social work, counseling, medicine, education, business and government as well as graduate study in many disciplines.

One could get lost trying to make sense of it all, as we currently live in a society were theses issues are finally beginning to take center stage as the Shriver Report shows that women are about to inherit the largest transefer of wealth seen in the United States, over the next three years. We are seeing more and more of our women young and old getting bachelors degrees, business degrees and masters degrees. Entering areas of the work force that were once upon a time soley male populated industries.

Congratulations to us all for our determination to excel and educate ourselves to new heights. Here is to a new era of equality.
